Joseph and Mayerson Academy Are Among Nine Higher Education Programs Nationwide to Receive International Dyslexia Association Recognition. The Science of Reading Partnership program between Mayerson Academy and the College of Mt. Joseph has been named an International Dyslexia Association (IDA) recognized program. This is the IDA’s highest category of recommendation which was only given to nine higher education programs this year. Joseph is the only college in Ohio to receive this recommendation. With the IDA’s endorsement, the Mount will now offer the Dyslexia Certificate in addition to the Reading Endorsement and Master’s Degree through the Science of Reading Partnership. Courses for these programs include LETRS (Language Essentials for Teaching Reading and Spelling) by Louisa Moats, Orton- Gillingham Multisensory Reading, and Advanced Multisensory Language.
